Christopher Santucci Additional Cinematography |
|
Chris Santucci’s career in filmmaking began as a production coordinator and assistant working in both movies and television commercials, with cinematography becoming a logical extension of that experience and his early years as an award winning professional photographer whose work has been shown at the Albright Knox Art Gallery and in the publication Graphis. This movement from still to moving pictures came in the mid 90’s when a friend convinced him to act as an unofficial partner in a commercial film production company in Western New York -- B-HIVE Productions, which produced regional and national television commercials for such clients as Goodyear and Marine Midland Bank, as well as Eastman Kodak’s Cine Update 5 film demos. Chris spent the rest of the decade delving deeper into shooting video and film, focusing on narrative filmmaking as both a producer and Director of Photography. Since 2001, Chris has added six feature films to his credits, as well as music videos and several short films -- the most notable of which, Tiny Magic (which he co-produced) was accepted into the Taos Talking Pictures Film Festival in 2003 and played an important role in the selection of Matthew Mesler for the lead in Nicholas of Myra (a decision director Gerald Hartke based largely upon his performance in that short). Currently, Chris operates his own Santucci Pictures and continues to devote his time to writing, editing, producing, and cinematography. He specializes in independent films and recently worked with Aaron Doolittle who wrote and directed the feature film Bonfire, Fallsand also Brevity. Beyond providing additional cinematography, Chris also serves as a Producer and First Assistant Director for Nicholas of Myra. |
