Actress Jamie Elvey has been cast in the role of Johanna, a young vagrant woman who, while living a misguided life of thievery, crosses paths with a particularly selfless man named Nicholas, intent on helping her to discover the power of hope and generosity.

Jamie is a Theater graduate of The University at Buffalo with a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the University of California in Irvine. One of the highlights among her awards is a scholarship from the AMC (American Movie Classics) Channel. She has appeared on many stages, ranging from Western New York to Besancon, France and has performed in notable plays such as Rumors, Steel Magnolias, and Sleeping Beauty, as well as Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Othello, and Richard III. Jamie’s filmography includes the current productions American Judoka in addition to her principal role as Johanna in Nicholas of Myra.
